Sibylle
The sibylle, chosen as a metaphor of things to come.
A collection and a research into material, build as a fundament for the future.
I’m captivated by the interaction between people, by their motives to act a certain way and the way they use their body and clothing to emphasize an appearance or mood. Therefore I like to explore the edge between attitude and character.
Sibylle is a collection inspired by body language. I imagined being caught in a spree or surrounded by water; a dream-like setting where you are floating in space. I wondered how material, enveloping the body, could alter ones appearance and provide new ways of expression.
My designs should be an extension of the personality. Resulting in clothes communicating through form and feeling. In order to develop this vision on the body I studied surfaces and created new textures. By working with these materials, making moulages, I was able to create shapes and volumes that appear to be self-evident and logic but are founded in a more complex construction, This results in a clean and modern look.
